The Wildest Expeditions in Rocky

Uncommon Adventures

We lead wildly unique guided hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, ski touring, and multi-sport expeditions into Rocky Mountain National Park’s most remote landscapes. Our expeditions give participants tough and thoughtful experiences that directly support the conservation of wilderness and biodiversity.

We’re excited to be the first-ever and only guides permitted to lead expeditions through Rocky’s cross-country zones, the least accessible, largely unknown, and most pristine landscapes in the park. You won’t find another expedition like ours!

Cross-Country Zones

Here, the only trails you’ll find are those created by the wildlife that call these remote landscapes home. Isolated and seldom-seen, these subalpine and montane wildlands offer unmatched solitude and wild beauty. You won’t find wilder landscapes in Rocky.

The difficult-to-access nature and remoteness of these zones make them some of the least-visited areas of the park, requiring off-trail navigation and route-finding skills to traverse. It’s in these zones that you will see the park at her wildest, bearing witness to the hidden gems and pristine landscapes that rest in solitude beyond the trails.

*2021 Cross-Country Zone trips will be limited due to remaining wildfire closures.

Small Groups

We pride ourselves on keeping our guide-to-participant ratio and group size low, allowing for more intimate wilderness experiences. Our small groups better preserve the wilderness character of the landscapes we traverse, allow for high-quality backcountry skills development, and provide opportunities for reflection.

By limiting group size, our participants can come away from an expedition truly connected to the wild landscapes and ecosystems we explore. It’s this connection that we hope will instill a deep desire in our participants to continue exploring the world’s wildest landscapes and foster a sense of responsibility to protect them.
