Uncommon Adventures for Conservation

 Overview

We lead wildly unique guided hiking, packrafting, snowshoeing, ski touring, and multi-sport expeditions to classic destinations and some of the world’s most remote landscapes. Our expeditions give participants tough and thoughtful experiences that directly support rewilding efforts. In Rocky Mountain National Park, we focus on exploring the least accessible, largely unknown, and most pristine trail-less landscapes in the park — the cross-country zones.

Rewilding the Future Together

Our Uncommon Adventures

Cross-Country Zone Trips

Here, the only trails you’ll find are those created by the wildlife that call these remote landscapes home. Isolated and seldom-seen, the remote cross-country zones of the national park service offer unmatched solitude and wild beauty. The difficult-to-access nature and remoteness of these zones make them some of the least-visited areas, requiring off-trail navigation and route-finding skills to traverse.

It’s in these zones that you will see parks at their wildest, bearing witness to the hidden gems and pristine landscapes that rest in solitude beyond the trails. With over twenty of these zones to pick from in Rocky Mountain National Park, the options for exploring deeper are endless. You won’t find a wilder trip through the park!

Packrafting Trips

We offer first-of-their-kind packrafting trips to our guest around the world. From teaching courses on how to use packrafts safely to trips focusing on exploring landscapes in the most remote corners of the world, these packable rafts open up endless opportunities for unique adventures, exploration, community science and education.

It’s our hope that guests can take the skills they learn on our packrafting trips and use them to dive deeper into remote adventures worldwide. By having an opportunity to obtain these skills closer to home, our guests can then join us on destination expeditions, where we’ll use packrafts on remote trips in Patagonia and beyond.

No Trails. No People. Just Wild Beauty.

Our Personalized Trips

Private Trips

You’re able to make any of our trips private. By privatizing a trip, you’ll be able to enjoy experiencing wildlands with only the members of your group. While we love and highly recommend the community aspect that’s inherent to our mixed-group trips, we believe private trips can be an amazing option for families, groups, couples, solo travelers or anyone else that’s interested in a more intimate wilderness experience.

Custom Trips

Our custom trips give participants of all experience levels the opportunity to make the most out of their time in the wild. Experts can dream big by setting out on one-of-a-kind routes while beginners can feel comfortable knowing we’ll help them accomplish backcountry goals of any difficulty. Whether you’re looking for relaxing educational experiences or a more strenuous adventure-oriented trip, we can plan it all. Any route, any season, any activity. We are your local adventure experts!
